In contrast, a brake upgrade that adds too much front torque (as many do), will reduce your car's ability to maximize the traction available from all four tires, robbing you of performance. In addition, a system that uses too many pistons or pistons that are too large will make the brake pedal much more difficult to modulate, limiting a driver's control of brake input.

Designed for street driven production vehicles, 1-Piece Big Brake Kits include the same forged 2-piece calipers as the StopTech Big Brake Kits, as well as StopTech Stainless Steel Brake Lines, StopTech Sport Brake Pads, application-specific caliper brackets and hardware. The difference is in the use of larger than stock 1-piece rotors, which offer the most value to those seeking better performance than their factory setup.
They offer nearly the same performance as the original StopTech 2-piece AeroRotor Big Brake Kits and Trophy full race systems at a more affordable price point. Designed for street driven production vehicles, StopTech 1-Piece Rotor Big Brake Kits include forged 2-piece calipers, larger StopTech 1-piece Sport Rotors, StopTech Stainless Steel Brake Lines, StopTech Sport Brake Pads and application-specific caliper brackets.
The stiff 2-piece, fully-forged calipers have designated piston sizes specific to each application and provide a firmer, more responsive brake pedal that provides better brake pedal modulation. Depending on the application, 1-Piece Rotor Big Brake Kits are available in two-, four- and six-piston configurations and 5 different caliper colors that use a special high temperature paint to withstand extreme conditions. All StopTech 1-Piece Rotor Big Brake Kits include stiff calipers that utilize silicone dust boots to extend service intervals.
The larger 1-piece StopTech Sport rotors, available in slotted, drilled and drilled+slotted finishes, provide greater heat capacity and reduced brake fade.
