Touring Edition
Engineered to perfection, the Touring Edition Exhaust is designed to give your Jetta 2.0T a more aggressive, yet sophisticated tone. The Touring Edition Exhaust features a resonated midsection and replaces the large stock rear muffler with a straight-through resonator featuring AWE Tuning's proprietary drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®.
Sound Perfection: AWE Tuning 180 Technology®
As exhaust gases exit the Jetta's 2.0L engine and flow into an 180 Technology® equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies.

Track Edition
Featuring a straight-through design, the Track Edition Exhaust revamps the Jetta 2.5L's attitude by replacing the rear 180 Technologyresonator with a straight pipe section, providing a more pronounced, aggressive tone in the mid range without being boomy in the cabin. This product cannot be returned or exchanged based upon volume preference!
Tip Options
All tip options include the AWE Tuning logo, and double walling to ensure a mirror finish even under hard usage. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste.

AWE Tuning 2.0T Exhaust Dyno Tests
Below are comparision dyno tests as performed on our Mustang MD-500-SE AWD dyno.
All tests were performed on the same car, with controlled ambient conditions. Each test is average of 3 runs performed.
Cat Back Exhaust Testing
Our first prototype for the A3/GTI/GLI was a 3 diameter cat back system. Careful before and after dyno testing showed that for this car, bigger was definitely not better. The air mass found inside the 3 tubing proved to be a restriction to the engine until the higher rpm region, and even at that point gains were minimal. Our reputation is to bring only proven products to market, and a 3 system is definitely not the wise choice for power on this car. Design was rejected.
After further dyno testing, we found that a 2.50 diameter gave the best overall balance of torque and horsepower gains. Peak gain were 3.1whp and 0.1wtq.
In the graphed gains sheet below you'll find the measured differences between baseline and test in dyno sheet of AWE Tuning 2.50 Cat Back Dyno Test vs stock exhaust. The AWE Tuning 2.50 exhaust produces a maximum increase of 4 wheel hp at 5300 rpms and 28 wheel torque at 2400 rpms vs. the stock exhaust. Overall, gains are seen over practically the entire powerband.

Start at the original place of purchase. 100% of claims start with the original place of purchase, and all refunds, if granted, are through the original place of purchase. Call them first.
If you remove, we can not approve. If a product issue is discovered after installation, do not remove the product before receiving confirmation of a return approval from the original place of purchase. On-car information can often lead to diagnosis and action plans; AWE requires a chance to address in this manner. Post-install products removed prior to return authorization will be denied any warranty claim.
Any alterations or attempts to fix will void the warranty. This includes welding, bending, or any ad-hoc methods that alter the product in any way.
All warranties are for the original owner only. Second owners can purchase replacement components at a discount, directly from AWE or from participating dealers.
Manufacturer defect is defined as any characteristic of the product which hinders its usability for the purpose for which it was designed and manufactured. The warranty against manufacturer defects doesn’t cover any cosmetic changes, or normal use wear and tear. All warranties cease at a product’s discontinuance. Here’s a quick summary of our products and how long each is covered for manufacturer defects: All AWE brand products. Please note that special order items are not returnable.

In the event of a return, a product must be returned with no signs of abuse, incorrect installation, forced installation, motorsports usage, or product altering whatsoever. Any trace of the aforementioned will result in warranty denial.
AWE's One Year Tip Finish Warranty covers defects on AWE tips for a period of one year from purchase date. Exclusions to the AWE One Year Tip Finish Warranty: (1) Pinhole sized pitting on the inside of tips, which is considered normal wear and tear, and (2) Blemishes or marring of appearance due to weather, road hazards, lack of maintenance (defined in next sentence) or extremes of heat or cold. Thorough periodic cleaning of AWE tips is required as general maintenance, and must be done prior to submitting a warranty claim on tips, as returned tips found to have been dirty (and not defective) will have forfeited any core charges.
