The AWE Tuning 3.0T S-FLO Intake was engineered in house to draw in large volumes of cool air to produce impressive power gains. The S-FLO Intake is now available as full S-FLO Carbon Intake, or ala carte as S-FLO Intake or S-FLO Filter.
S-FLO Carbon Intake: The full package
The AWE Tuning S-FLO Carbon Intake is the full kit including all carbon, the full intake, filter and our engineered Nomex® reinforced silicon hose, and all necessary brackets and mounting hardware.
Why it works
Ambient air is drawn into the inlet in a ram-air fashion and fed beneath the S-FLO's carbon cover. The inlet provides the airbox with constant cold air, compared to an air intake that draws air from the hot engine bay. This cold air results in impressive power gains when filtered through the AWE Tuning S-FLO Intake.

S-FLO Intake
The AWE Tuning S-FLO Intake was engineered to improve the 3.0T's ability to draw in cool air while creating impressive power gains.
The AWE Tuning 3.0T S-FLO Intake uses a high flow, 4-ply Nomex®, fluorosilicone lined, steel wire reinforced silicon air tube to replace the restrictive factory hose. This high flow silicone tube allows cool air to travel freely to the motor. This specifically designed hose is engineered to have optimal flow geometry through the inlet, center section, and outlet of the tube. Furthermore, the silicone hose utilizes a molded lip to ensure a proper seal on both the S-FLO carbon air box (or factory airbox) and throttle body for longevity and reliable performance.
The S-FLO Intake includes all necessary installation hardware, and the proprietary S-FLO Filter, detailed below.
S-FLO Filter
The AWE Tuning 3.0T S-FLO Intake uses the proprietary S-FLO Filter. This is a washable, oiled, large cylindrical filter that has been tested to allow up to 34% more airflow than the factory paper filter. The S-FLO Filter is the largest filter that can fit within the air box.
The entirety of the S-FLO line up was designed and tested on AWE Tuning in house vehicles, and are cost effective, incredibly attractive upgrades.

Below are dyno comparison tests performed on our Mustang MD-500-SE AWD dynamometer. All tests were performed using our B8 S4 6speed, with controlled ambient conditions.
Crankshaft Horsepower Gains for the AWE Tuning 3.0T S-FLO Intake
Wheel Horsepower Gains for the AWE Tuning 3.0T S-FLO Intake
(Above) Adding the AWE Tuning 3.0T S-FLO Intake results in substantial power gains over the factory system. Gains of +9 wheel hp and +5 wheel tq were made using stock software. This results in gains of +10 crank hp and +6 crank tq. Maximum gains of +15 crank hp and +11 crank tq are seen at 7000 rpm.
Pressure Drop Testing for the AWE Tuning 3.0T S-FLO Intake
(Above) shows the pressure drop of the AWE Tuning 3.0T S-FLO Intake (one using just the S-FLO filter, the other using the complete system) vs. the factory air box and filter. Less restriction is represented by a pressure drop close to zero. It can be seen that the S-FLO filter is less restrictive than the stock filter and the AWE Tuning 3.0T S-FLO Intake system is far less restrictive than the factory air box and filter.
Flow Bench Testing for the AWE Tuning 3.0T S-Filter
(Above) Is data from flow bench testing of the AWE Tuning S-FLO filter in comparison to the stock filter. It can be seen that our S-FLO filter is capable of flowing 330.3 cubic feet per minute (CFM) compared to the stock filter's 246.7 CFM in almost identical conditions. This increase in flows results in an increase in power.

Their unique products like the SWITCHPATH AWE Exhaust System for your Porsche is designed to direct exhaust gasses away from the side mufflers giving you that impressive AWE exhaust touring tone only slightly louder and then with the “SWITCHPATH” valve open your exhaust gasses are directed away from the side muffler and you get that more aggressive sound.

Start at the original place of purchase. 100% of claims start with the original place of purchase, and all refunds, if granted, are through the original place of purchase. Call them first.
If you remove, we can not approve. If a product issue is discovered after installation, do not remove the product before receiving confirmation of a return approval from the original place of purchase. On-car information can often lead to diagnosis and action plans; AWE requires a chance to address in this manner. Post-install products removed prior to return authorization will be denied any warranty claim.
Any alterations or attempts to fix will void the warranty. This includes welding, bending, or any ad-hoc methods that alter the product in any way.
All warranties are for the original owner only. Second owners can purchase replacement components at a discount, directly from AWE or from participating dealers.
Manufacturer defect is defined as any characteristic of the product which hinders its usability for the purpose for which it was designed and manufactured. The warranty against manufacturer defects doesn’t cover any cosmetic changes, or normal use wear and tear. All warranties cease at a product’s discontinuance. Here’s a quick summary of our products and how long each is covered for manufacturer defects: All AWE brand products. Please note that special order items are not returnable.

In the event of a return, a product must be returned with no signs of abuse, incorrect installation, forced installation, motorsports usage, or product altering whatsoever. Any trace of the aforementioned will result in warranty denial.
AWE's One Year Tip Finish Warranty covers defects on AWE tips for a period of one year from purchase date. Exclusions to the AWE One Year Tip Finish Warranty: (1) Pinhole sized pitting on the inside of tips, which is considered normal wear and tear, and (2) Blemishes or marring of appearance due to weather, road hazards, lack of maintenance (defined in next sentence) or extremes of heat or cold. Thorough periodic cleaning of AWE tips is required as general maintenance, and must be done prior to submitting a warranty claim on tips, as returned tips found to have been dirty (and not defective) will have forfeited any core charges.
