UMI - GM Camaro Adjustable Lower Front A-Arms- Street V8, UMI - GM Camaro Adjustable Lower Front A-Arms- Street V8, UMI - GM Firebird Adjustable Lower Front A-Arms- Street V8, UMI - GM Firebird Adjustable Lower Front A-Arms- Street V8
UMI Performance tubular lower A-arms are built to offer a strong street-able set-up while reducing weight over the factory set-up. By adding UMI Performance lower A-arms it immediately removes 8lbs from the front of the vehicle while adding strength and increased performance. UMI tubular A-arms are designed to outperform the stock setup, whether it’s at the race track or an added improvement to a daily driver, they’ve been tested and improved to handle both applications. These lower a-arms can be installed on the stock K-member or any aftermarket K-member. They are designed to reduce front end weight, as well as “unsprung” weight, providing improved handling performance to the front of your vehicle. UMI Performance A-arms are built using strong DOM steel tubing, 3/16” thick CNC machined shock mounts, new ball joints installed, high quality chrome moly spherical Teflon lined rod ends and grease-able Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings.
UMI front lower A-arms are supplied with high quality spherical bearing rod ends which feature a Teflon lined self lubricating race. These rod ends replace the stock rubber bushings found in the rear of the OEM arms. This rod end design is to allow free movement and travel in the front suspension while adding additional front end adjustment when needed. The factory GM A-Arm features a rubber pivot bushing in this area; this is designed to rotate up and down as the suspension travels. Replacing this bushing with a solid bushing such as polyurethane would not allow the suspension to articulate correctly and would cause front suspension bind. The rod end we use features a Teflon lined self lubricating race designed for a quiet operation and will not allow suspension bind in this area.
Features:
- Fabricated from 1.250” x 0.120” mild steel DOM tubing
- TIG welded 4140 chrome moly threaded tube adaptors

Chrome Moly- Chrome Moly version uses 1.250 x 0.095 4130 Chrome Moly steel and fully TIG welded. The Chrome Moly construction adds increased strength while reducing product weight by 2lbs.

Our search for good manufacturers and quality products showed LMPerformance that UMI Performance began in 2003 under the leadership of Ryan Kirkwood and the guidance of his father Denny. Together this father and son team developed a large variety of products for many makes and models of GM vehicles as well as the Ford Mustang. Ryan saw a large demand for suspension and chassis products, and felt the market was lacking of options and full of highly priced items. So, on May 31st 2003, UMI began its journey in the aftermarket suspension industry with a 1994 Ford Mustang GT Convertible. This car was used as a test bed for the beginning stages of UMI’s Fox and SN95 platform products. The products began to move very quickly, becoming almost impossible to keep in stock. The faster they manufactured them the quicker they sold. In late 2003, UMI purchased a 2000 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 which was used as their F-Body platform design vehicle. Slowly, products began to arise on the market for the GM F-Body, and quickly UMI Performance became a well respected company, becoming one of the largest suspension manufactures in today’s market, enhancing our line products.
To confirm LMPerformance's selection of UMI Performance as a supplier our further research on UMI indicated it operates out of a 35,000 square foot facility - this new facility located in Philipsburg, PA was recently acquired by UMI in March, 2011. UMI Performance manufactures 99.9% of their products within their facility from start to finish - from raw 24 foot bars of tubing to a finished product on your door step.
