The testing protocol includes such things as determining the filter’s efficiency making certain your engine is protected for debris while sucking in more air and monitoring the capacity of the filter to determine how much dirt it can hold before it needs to be serviced.And S&B Air Filters doesn’t stop there but has established a primo environmental control system affording them the opportunity of having control over humidity, temperature and barometric pressure. To accomplish this goal S&B uses absolute blankets designed to catch any dust that gets past the filter and additionally they heat the absolute blankets pre and post testing in order to remove humidity thus accomplishing the goal of only weighing what actually bypassed the filter.Unlike some of their competitors who have testing done at low CFMs in order to show higher efficiency rates S&B first determines the maximum CFM a vehicle generates at wide open throttle then they start pulling this amount of air through the intake while shooting fine particles of dust at the filter. Any dust bypassing the filter will be caught in the absolute blanket to determine the efficiency. This is important because it is considerably more difficult to stop dust when there is greater airflow and thus this is a much more reliable testing procedure affording you the guarantee of better protection for your car.S&B acknowledges the fact that competition is important and they use this knowledge as a motivator to continually improve their products by continually testing the competition’s products and then making theirs better. And S&B is so confident they have a superior product they back S&B air filters and intake kits purchased from Authorized Dealers by S&B’s Million Mile Limited Warranty when used under typical driving conditions and on vehicles for which they were designed. If one of their cold air intakes or performance air filters is not performing properly or is defective, S&B will replace it and you can’t get better than that. If you use an S&B product for (1) any type of racing or competitive event (2) any off-road use, (3) custom or modified product, (4) any industrial or marine applications, and/or (5) any illegal highway use. If an S&B product is not covered by their million mile warranty, their products are still warranted against manufacturing defects for one year from the date of purchase. S&B is firmly committed to providing our customers with best in class, reliable products from Authorized Dealers. S&B products purchased from Authorized Dealers are backed by S&B’s Million Mile Limited Warranty when used under typical driving conditions and on vehicles for which they were designed. If one of our products is not performing properly or is defective, S&B will replace it.
If you purchased S&B products from an unauthorized dealer or if the original factory serial number has been removed, defaced or altered, your S&B limited warranty will not be valid. Unfortunately, there are some websites and dealers who claim to be authorized S&B resellers but are not. S&B Products sold on these unauthorized websites or by unauthorized dealers do not carry a warranty from S&B. When you purchase products from an unauthorized website or dealer you are taking a risk, because these products may be counterfeit, used, or defective. Please protect yourself by ensuring that you only purchase S&B products from an S&B Authorized Dealer.
What is not covered by the S&B Warranty.
If you use an S&B product for (1) any type of racing or competitive event (2) any off-road use, (3) custom or modified product, (4) any industrial or marine applications, and/or (5) any illegal highway use. If an S&B product purchased from an Authorized Dealer is not covered by our Million Mile Limited Warranty, our products are still warranted against manufacturing defects for one (1) year from the date of purchase.
Warranty for Intake Elbows.
The warranty period for S&B Intake Elbows is 5-Years. Returns are not accepted once the parts have been installed. S&B DOES NOT RECOMMEND NOR DOES THE WARRANTY COVER CONDITIONS WHERE THE INTAKE ELBOW IS EXPOSED TO INTERNAL PRESSURE IN EXCESS OF 75 POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH (PSI). Visit www.sbfilters.com for actual burst test results. Exposing the Intake Elbow to pressures in excess of 75 PSI could cause the Intake Elbow to leak and/or rupture causing severe damage to your vehicle and/or serious bodily harm including death. Never run more than 5 PSI of pressure through the Intake Elbow with your hood raised. Special care should be taken when running a vehicle on a dyno to protect all personnel from flying debris in the event of a rupture of the part.

Returns:We cannot accept returns on parts that have been used or installed. No returns will be accepted after 30 days. All Returns must be in original packaging. Prior authorization must be given before any return can be made. Up to a 25% Restocking Fee may apply. Special orders may be subject to Additional Manufacturer Restock Fees as well. Shipping cost will not be refunded.Hoods as well as PCM Programmers may not be returned unless defective and only for replacement. Lost Order ClaimsAll lost order/package claims must be made within 5 days of the shipping date or tracking information delivery date. All claimes made after this date will not be accepted due to Shipping companies policies of filing loss claims.
Damaged Items or Incorrect Items: Please contact us right away if your item has been damaged in shipping or are incorrect. Please note that we will ship replacement items the same method of shipping the order was originally placed for. LMPerformance can not ship packages overnight at our cost if the original shipping was not also overnight. Claims must be filed in order for replacement parts to be shipped.
Warranties:Any warranty claims must be placed with the manufacturer. All of the products sold by LMPerformance, regardless of the manufacturer, are designed for Racing and Performance applications. Many of our manufacturers offer NO WARRANTY on their products, either stated or implied, due to the unusual stresses placed on the parts and because we have no control over how they are installed and used.
