IMPORTANT!

This filter drops in. It uses the front stock GM retainer to hold it in place. 2006 to early 2012 Ls3 & Ls7 Corvettes do not have the GM retainer glued to the O.E factory filter (its separate). You can reuse your original retainer and just by the filter. Late 2012 and all 2013 Ls3 & Ls7' cars come with GM retainer glued to the filter. You will need to choose the GM Retainer option in the drop down menu when ordering. If you're unsure if your car is a early or late 2012 or if the filter has been replaced with a GM filter with a glued retainer, simply take the filter out of your car now and check.

Attack Blues media catches dirt down to an incredible 0.3 submicron level which is the size of some bacteria while still feeding your engine truck loads of air!

We took 2 years and 2 laboratories to create this dry Nanofiber media which is superior as far as airflow and filtration. ITS A FACT that nanofibers provide the absolute best air flow while at the same time providing the best filtration over other traditional filtration media. This is undisputable. Nanofibers are ultra-fine, so much smaller and thinner than traditional spun fibers. This allows you to pack more filtering media in the same amount of space which will still allow air to flow but it creates a treacherous path for dirt & debris so it gets caught up and captured. This submicron level of particulate retention can increase engine life by reducing wear on internal engine surfaces.

*PLEASE NOTE: This filter use to be made with cotton and lightly oiled. It is now made with the new advanced Dry Nano. The new dry Attack Blue Filters will have the name ATTACK BLUE stamped into the urethane. Older Non nano filters do NOT say ATTACK BLUE. These filters can not be cleaned with soap and water. DO I NEED A RETAINER?

It depends. Some Corvettes have the GM retainer permanently glued to the GM filter. So when you toss the old dirty filter, the retainer goes with it. You would need the Attack Blue retainer. Some early Corvettes had the GM retainer separate, not affixed to anything. You can re use the GM retainer. All LS9 Corvettes come with GM retainer glued to the GM filter. You would need the Attack Blue retainer. The best way to know, is to simply check your intake.

The Attack Blue filter retainer has a robust design to securely hold your filter in place. Simply use your existing O.E screws.
